About Me

Personal Ceremonies “from the heart” is the core of the work I do and ensuring that you feel totally comfortable with the service I provide.

A2E7DACAFB1A47E883E434397DC41A14I have spent my life in the midlands and have a love for my home town of Birmingham and the surrounding area. I am happily partnered and enjoy spending time outdoors, fishing, gardening, decorating and going away in our touring caravan.  I am a volunteer with Birmingham Children’s hospital chaplaincy team providing spiritual care to children and their families.
My work life has always been working with people and understanding what makes them tick, only through listening and talking can this be achieved. I have worked in different local authorities and two charities. The latter working in a children’s hospice. There were a number of children and their families who inspired me, in particular Milo, Dylan and Evan. I had the privilege to be with them as they approached end of life and when they passed away.  They were sadly in pain and they could struggle no longer. The devastating news for their families and how this affected them. This inspired me to become a civil celebrant to ensure that their lives were fully recognised and celebrated no matter how much or little time they were with us.
I thank my mum, grandparents and Yzzi who are no longer with us and thanks to my partner, family and friends for supporting me as a civil celebrant
I believe that we are all on a journey and that journey is assisted and helped by people who are genuine and care. I would be privileged to become your celebrant and share your journey and make it special and personal to you.
I am flexible and work at your pace, I am a member of the Fellowship Of Independent Celebrants and I am fully insured and have a clear enhanced DBS (disclosure and barring service check for those working with adults and children).
I look forward to working with you.
